SWISS and the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) are further expanding their SWISS Air Rail collaboration. On 27 October 2025 SWISS will add St. Gallen, Locarno and Konstanz, all served with direct trains to and from Zurich Airport, to its international route network. SWISS tickets for the three new destinations are bookable from 16 October 2025. The latest additions bring the SWISS Air Rail network, which makes combined air and rail travel as smooth and easy as possible, to 24 destinations.

Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) and the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) are responding to the growing demand for more comfortable travel options. The partners will newly bring St. Gallen, Locarno and Konstanz, all served via Zurich Airport, into the international SWISS route network from 27 October 2025. SWISS tickets for the three new destinations are bookable from today (16 October 2025) via swiss.com or any travel agency.

“With our new SWISS Air Rail destinations we’re building even more bridges between our wide range of international air services and the key business, industry and cultural regions around our Swiss airport hubs,” says SWISS Chief Commercial Officer Heike Birlenbach. “St. Gallen as a center of business, industry and further education, Locarno with its international film festival as a top tourist destination and Konstanz as the gateway to the Lake Constance region are all excellent additions to our SWISS route network. And in extending SWISS Air Rail to them, we’re putting a further firm accent on more seamless, more sustainable and more customer-friendly mobility.”

“In bringing St. Gallen, Locarno and Konstanz into the SWISS Air Rail network, we are continuing our endeavors to offer good multimodal mobility solutions,” adds Véronique Stephan, SBB’s Head of Passenger Services Markets. “Thanks to our partnership with SWISS, our customers can simply book and seamlessly combine train and plane travel, and are assured of a quick, comfortable and climate-friendly rail journey to or from the airport.”

This latest expansion brings the SWISS Air Rail network to 24 destinations in Switzerland, Germany and Austria.
